An excellent natural tonic!
The apricot is a plant native to north-eastern China on the border with Russia and its presence dates back to more than 5000 years ago.
Apricots contain several antioxidants, particularly phenolic compounds from the flavonoid family. These compounds allow us to neutralize the body’s free radicals, prevent the appearance of cardiovascular diseases, some tumors and various chronic diseases.
Apricots also contain carotenoids, mainly beta-carotene, which largely contributes to its orange color and which has the ability to transform into vitamin A in the body.
Apricots are an excellent natural tonic and help in summer to combat exhaustion resulting from the heat and loss of liquids; consumed in the morning they prevent anemic states (especially due to iron deficiency), low blood pressure and mental tiredness.
